Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia as a cause of recurrent epistaxis and anemia

Abstract
Epistaxis is a common problem in otolaryngology emergencies and can get the patient's life at risk different causes must be taken into account for proper diagnosis and prevention of complications. Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia is a recurrent and abundant cause of epistaxis. We present a case of a 72-year-old male patient, who experienced recurrent and abundant epistaxis, as well as oesophagal bleeding requiring blood transfusions on multiple occasions, being diagnosed as hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia.
