Abstract
Introduction: Autoimmune polyglandular syndrome consists of association of two or more autoimmune glandular disease, with signs and symptoms simulating isolated disease and may be classified at autoimmune polyglandular syndrome 1, 2, 3 and 4. Case report: The case reported here presents an individual female, 37 years with autoimmune polyglandular syndrome 2, having as base pathologies Addison disease associated with autoimmune thyroid disease. It is also important that the autoimmune polyglandular syndrome 2, may be accompanied by the presence of diabetes mellitus type 1, or still have as secondary manifestations other autoimmune comorbidities, not endocrinological ones. Conclusion: The clinical and laboratory diagnosis based on hormonal measurements and specific antibodies should be fast and accurate, and this is the correct treatment fundamental to prevent fatal consequences arising from the adrenocortical failure.

Key words: Addison's disease, autoimmune polyglandular syndrome type 2, autoimmune hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency, autoimmune diseases
