Abstract
Introduction: Various efforts have been made to be able to carry out the Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) . The Integrated Management of Childhood Illness activity is a health service effort aimed at reducing morbidity and mortality rates while at the same time improving the quality of health services in primary health outpatient units. Various IMCI supervision models have been tried globally, but it is still unclear which monitoring model is more suitable for IMCI. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of implementing SOP and IMCI monitoring tools on increasing neonatal visit services (KN) by village midwives in the area of Langsa City health center. This type of research is a quasi-experiment, with a nonrandomized pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in this study was the village midwife who worked in the area of Langsa City Health Center as many as 30 respondents. The sampling technique is done by purposive sampling. Bivariate analysis using paired t-tests and One-Way ANOVA. The results showed there were differences in the value of neonatal visit services between the SOP + Monitoring and control groups. There are differences in the value of neonatal visit services between the SOP and control groups. The results of the paired t-test addressed the average value of the SOP + monitoring neonatal visit service group at pre-test 8 and post-test 11.5 with a value of 0.00001 (p <0.05). The results of paired t-test mean value of SOP neonatal visit services in the pre-test 7.6 and post-test 10.5 p-values 0.0001 (p <0.05). The results of paired t-test mean values of neonatal visit services in the pre-test group were 8.2 and the post-test 8.0 p-value was 0.51 (p> 0.05). The results of the ANOVA analysis of SOP + Monitoring and SOP only to the control group with a p-value of 0.00001 (p <0.05). Bonferroni test results of the SOP group + Monitoring of the SOP group only there is a difference of 0.5 points with a p-value of 0.45 (P> 0.05). The difference in the value of neonatal visit services between the SOP + Monitoring and control groups was 3.7 with a p-value obtained 0.0001. The difference in the value of neonatal visit services between the SOP and control groups was 3.2 points with a p-value of 0.0001. Conclusion: There is a difference in the average value of neonatal visit services (KN) before and after the groups that get the SOP implementation and IMCI Monitoring Tools.
