Abdominal Injuries: A Comprehensive Guide for Non-Medical Professionals

Abstract
Abdominal injuries can be life-threatening due to potential internal bleeding, organ damage, and infection. This guideline provides non-medical professionals with clear, evidence-based instructions for recognizing, assessing, and managing both blunt and penetrating abdominal trauma. The recommendations emphasize early symptom recognition, hemorrhage control, patient stabilization, and rapid evacuation to definitive care. Developed with input from trauma surgeons, emergency care specialists, and first-aid trainers, this guide ensures practical application in emergency settings where immediate medical attention may not be available. By equipping first responders and laypersons with essential knowledge and techniques, this resource aims to improve patient survival and outcomes in abdominal trauma scenarios.
