Pure Dislocation of the Tarsal Navicular Bone: A rare case

Charaf Eddine Elkassimi, Ali Trafeh, Mohamed Rafai, Abdelhak Garch.

Abstract
Pure dislocation of the tarsal navicular bone is a very rare injury that results from high energy trauma to the foot. The mechanism of injury is poorly understood. The treatment must be urgent and require reduction, which is usually done with open focus and fixation of the navicular bone.
We report the observation of a young patient in order to discuss the injury mechanisms, treatment options as well as the evolutionary profile of pure navicular dislocation.

Key words: Dislocation, navicular bone, pure, reduction
