Abstract
Superior mesenteric artery syndrom is a rare entity, triggered by the compression of the third portion of the duodenum between the superior
mesenteric artery and the aorta. It’s manifested by an acute or chronic high occlusion. Abdominal CT scan is a powerful test for diagnosis. The first line treatment is medical and surgical if the first one fails. Through 3 observation and a review of literature we try to raise the epidemiological, clinical and therapeutic aspects of this entity

Résumé
Le syndrome de la pince aorto mésentérique est une entité rare correspondant à la compression extrinsèque de la troisième portion du duodénum par l’artère mésentérique supérieure et l’aorte. Il se manifeste par un tableau d’occlusion haute aigue ou chronique. Le scanner abdominal est un examen performant pour poser le diagnostic. Le traitement de première intention est médical puis chirurgical si échec du premier. A travers 3 observations et une revue de la littérature nous essayons de soulever les aspects épidémiologiques, cliniques et thérapeutiques de cette entité.
