Abstract
Objective: Country wide Lockdown in India was imposed to break the cycle of transmission and control the spread of corona virus disease. During lockdown health care facilities were modified to cope up with the ongoing pandemic. We are presenting here the altered pattern of disease spectrum experienced during the period of lockdown.
Methods and materials: This retrospective comparative study was conducted at our tertiary care institute during and pre Lockdown period from 15 January 2020 to 31 May 2020.All urological patients who presented to us with fracture penis, penile strangulation, emergency PCN, purple bag syndrome, retained Foleys catheter and foreign bodies in lower urinary tract during this period were included in this study and were compared.
Results: The OPD attendance significantly (P<0.0001) reduced during lockdown. But the number of patients with penile strangulation (P-0.045),purple bag syndrome (P-0.002),foreign bodies in lower urinary tract (P-0.02) and retained Foleys catheter (P-0.005) were significantly increased, although the patients with fracture penile, emergency PCN were also increased but clinically insignificant.
Conclusion: Delay in regular follow can lead to increase in complications which are troublesome to the patient and also poses difficulties in management to the urologist. Strict advice for timely follow up is required to avoid such complications. COVID-19 related lockdown was one of the reasons for delay in presentation in our study. A delayed presentation of penile injuries due to fear, embarrassment and other reasons like lockdown can be devastating to the patient and a timely intervention is must in these cases

Key words: COVID-19 virus, penile diseases, Percutaneous nephrostomy, Foreign Bodies, Indwelling catheter, Purple urine bag syndrome
